System’s Configuration

General Tab:

· Sound File System:

- In-memory cache (Kb): This is the system memory used to facilitate memory "hungry" operations, i.e. Search, Reverse, etc. Be careful if your system is low in memory. Recommended size 2 MB.

- Disk Cache (Mb): You can set a quantity of disk space, between 0 - 40 Mbytes, that can be used by the application to perform its operations. This cache memory will be useful for Search, Reverse, etc.

- File Types: Here you will set the file types that your system will handle. Default value: *.mp3;*.wma;*.wav.

- Excluded Folders: Here you exclude some folders, according to your needs ; by default this item has the C:\Winnt folder.

· Parameters:

- FX start time: Here, you can specify the coast start time value.

- FX stop time: Here, you can specify the coast stop time value.

- Start players in remaining mode: Lock the automatic time remaining mode when playing.

· Default Playlist:

- Load default songs during startup: Load default songs on each player when the software is opened.


Controller Tab:

· Device Name: You can rename the USB Hercules console. Windows will display the specified name while device detection.

· FX1,2 and 3: With these dialog boxes, you can assign one effect to each Flash button.

· Treble, Medium and Bass: These are the central frequencies for Treble, Medium and Bass graphic equalizer. These values are in accordance with the three rotating buttons shown on the main panel.

· Stick Control: This parameters allows you to setup the console joystick efficiency. The value "Interval" specifies the time to scroll one line. The value "Sensibility" allows you to setup the joystick sensitivity. Higher is the percentage, more sensitive will be the joystick in the playlist scrolling.

Players Tab:

· Sound Hardware:

- Player 1 device: Here you can select the device which will serve as player 1 listening device.

- Player 2 device: Here you can select the device which will serve as player 2 listening device.

- Monitor Device: Here you select the device which will serve as monitor device.

The system automatically enables or disables the selection of your physical devices, depending on the device first-selected as main or monitor device, it means that you will not have the possibility to select the same device as monitor and main at the same time.

- Buffer Size (ms): This buffer is defined for the system effects that you will apply to your songs. The default value is 500ms. A bigger buffer is recommended for good hardware designs.

- Use hardware-mixed buffers: Check this item to enable the multichannels management option of your soundcard (if compatible).

· Microphone Settings:

- Input device: Select the input device for the microphone.

- Output device: Select the output device for the microphone.

- Latency (ms): Specify the buffer size for the microphone.

- Microphone enabled: Allows you to enable or disable the microphone in the software.

- Use Direct Hardware Mode: Check this item to instruct DirectSound to use hardware buffers.

Recorder Tab:

· Recorder:

- Device: Select the recording device.

- File Name: Select the name of the recording file.

- Format: Select the recording format codec.

Skin Tab:

 

This is the skins changer dialog which allows you to change skin while playing. You can select a skin and see it in the preview’s window.
